This bassinet, the "Nature's Purest Soothing Comfort Bassinet," is made by Summer Infant, Inc. I bought it new from Babies-r-us in 2008 for my newborn. She only used it a handful of times, as I found I couldn't sleep without her in the bed with me! :) I think we purchased it for 9.99 in 2008. All of the cloth on the bassinet is organic, I was very adimate about not exposing my daughter to any chemicals or pesticide residue, especially as an infant. This purchase will also come with 2 extra fitted sheets that I bought separately, both also organic cotton (3 total fitted sheets). I washed all of the cloth pieces on the bassinet, there are no stains or other marks anywhere on the entire bassinet. The bassinet does sit on rockers, so you can gently rock it if your baby stirs. There is also a battery operated unit that attaches (and can detach if you don't like it) to the side of the bassinet. It will play a song, a heartbeat, nature sounds, or will vibrate. The vibration was kind of neat and I felt like it helped the newborn who is used to so much movement in the womb. Also, underneath the bassinet there are two storage compartments for diapers, sheets, etc. If you want this shipped to you, it might be costly, but if you are very interested could check at the P.O.
